Chart Animation
One of the key features in LUNA is the ability to animate your chart in real-time. LUNA provides a scaled-to-fit chart display, convenient layout and fluid navigation to allow you to easily cast a chart for any time and location. Familiarizing yourself with these assets will help you create and save transit charts to your profile.
Chart Layout
Uniwheel and biwheel charts in LUNA will always appear in the middle of your screen and scaled-to-fit for optimal display. Whether you enlarge or reduce the size of your desktop window, the chart adjusts accordingly. On both desktop and mobile versions, you can pinch and zoom into the screen for a closer viewing of the chart.

Info Panel
On the left side of a chart is the info panel. On a mobile device, the info panel is stacked and collapsed at the top of the screen. This panel lists basic data points including the date, time and location of the chart as well as the timezone, UTC offset and latitude/longitude.
You can quickly make changes to some of your chart settings by clicking "Calculation Settings" at the bottom of the panel. Here you'll have the ability to update settings depending on your current system preferences. Some options require certain settings to be enabled or be of a specific chart type in order to appear in this panel.

Unsaved charts will display a "Save" icon on the upper right side of the panel. This allows you to save unsaved charts. Options to make updates in chart type, tags and time/location will appear here. Once saved, the chart is stored in your chart profile and the icon converts to an "Edit" button for future changes. Auxiliary charts also provide the ability to save.
Spacetime Navigator
The Spacetime Navigator is an instrumental tool in LUNA for animating charts that map movements throughout the progression of time. It appears as a panel on the right side of the chart. On mobile, the Spacetime Navigator is collapsed at the bottom of the screen and must be tapped to open.
Transit, Secondary Progressed, Solar Arc Directed
The Spacetime Navigator panel is available for transit, secondary progressed, solar arc directed uniwheel and biwheel charts. By using the Spacetime Navigator, you can easily see chart points and aspects move in real-time according to the set increments of time. There are two ways to utilize the Spacetime Navigator:
- Select an increment number from the first drop-down option (1-10), then select the period of time (minute, hour, day, week, month, year). Use the arrow icons on each side of the panel to navigate through time.
- Or, enter a specific date, time and location. You can do this by selecting a date from the calendar tool option or typing in the date and time manually, then click "Cast Chart".
To return back to the current transit chart, click on "Update to Now". This will revert your chart to the current time and date based on the home location from your settings.
Solar Return & Relocation Navigator
The Spacetime Navigator adapts contextually when applied to solar return and relocation charts. For solar return charts, it becomes a Solar Return Navigator panel and enables you to input different years. For relocation charts, a Relocate panel appears and allows you to input any global location. In either auxiliary chart, you'll see these changes automatically update both in the chart and info panel.
FYI
Various transit biwheel configurations will combine or add different types of navigation panels. For instance, a biwheel between a transit and solar return chart will stack both types of navigation panels on top of each other and work independently as it applies to the appropriate chart. But for a transit and secondary progressed biwheel, only one navigation panel appears as the Spacetime Navigator applies the same way to both charts.
